On this page a repository of material concerning World Institute of Scientology Enterprises and Scientology's unincorporated Sea Organization - or Sea Org or SO for short. WISE is the licensing organization overseeing such companies as Sterling Management Systems, Hollander Consultants, David Singer Enterprises, U-Man and many others. The Sea Org dates back to 1967, when L. Ron Hubbard raised a private navy, appointed himself Commodore, donned a dashing uniform of his own design and set forth on an extraordinary odyssey, leading a fleet of ships across the oceans variously pursued by the CIA, the FBI, the international press and a miscellany of suspicious government and maritime agencies .
The Sea Org became the nexus and most powerful entity in Scientology. It's Scientology's own para-military hard-core group. Members sign a billion years contract and use the US Navy as its model. The uniforms, language, rituals, rules and disciplines all reflect a naval battle tradition, as opposed to, e.g., the American Sea Scouts. One Sea Org base allegedly lets Sea Org teenagers work from seven in the morning until midnight. Seven days a week, including Sundays.
Being unincorporated, the Sea Organization escapes legal scrutiny. However, every major Scientology organization, its personnel and bank accounts, are under the control of the Sea Org. And by the words of Robert Palinkas, so is WISE under the control of the SO. Therefor on this page have been placed some pictures of WISE executives in their Sea Org uniforms to grasp how interwoven Scientology and WISE are.

On the left is (former?) WISE International President Don Drader wearing his Sea Org uniform. The source of the image is WISE magazine Prosperity issue 49, ca. March 2000. It is taken from an article about the 24th International WISE convention aboard the Scientology ship the Freewinds (contaminated allegedly with asbestos). Pay particular attention to the belt buckle of Drader with the Sea Org symbol (click on the image for larger format). This symbol has a very specific meaning within Scientology, reaching back to Ron Hubbard's bizarre obsession with alien civilizations. More on that symbol later.

Here's Don Cunningham, the Executive Director of WISE International / Commanding Officer WISE International in his Sea Org uniform. Source is WISE magazine Prosperity issue 58, ca. April 2003. This picture is interesting for a couple of reasons, first of all just as the picture of WISE President Drader above, it was taken aboard the ship the Freewinds, the only location on earth were the highest secret level of the Church of Scientology is teached, second because on the background you see the last letters of the word "WISE" and on the right hand side are the double Scientology triangles depicted and the "S" stands for Scientology. If one picture captures how interwoven World Institute of Scientology Enterprises International and Scientology are, it is this one. Another interesting note is that this picture was taken for an article concerning the launch of the WISE Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination. The guide is a manual for WISE affiliated consultants on how to recruit people into Scientology in return for monetary rewards. The article explains that Hubbard's "Dissemination Drill" forms the fundamental reference of the manual and that: An entire section of sample waivers and legal forms is also included in the manual. |

The US copyright office holds five records on "Problems of Work".
The book itself is considered Scripture within Church of Scientology and is praised as "The Problems of Work contains the application of the Scientology principles to the workaday world." If you wondered whether you're being fed Scientology by your WISE accredited consultant; wonder no more. On this picture too, you can see again the Scientology triangles on the left and "WISE" on the right. An internal Scientology document revealed that a Quentin Strub was "In Charge" of one of the Scientology gulags called "Rehabilitation Project force," were scientologists are sent for punishment, work extreme long hours and have no contact with outside family for extended periods of time. |
Sea Org symbol
| As prommised above, here's more on the Sea Org symbol. The symbol is worn as cloth badges and rings. It is also worn on belt buckles, ties and other items of clothing and accessories of Sea Org members, including the above WISE executives. This symbol has a very specific meaning within Scientology, reaching back to Ron Hubbard's bizarre sci-fi fantasies about alien civilizations and Galactic Invader Forces. SEA ORG SYMBOL, 1. the Sea Org symbol adopted and used as the symbol of a Galactic Confederacy far back in the history of this sector, derives much of its power and authority from that association. The laurel wreath represents victory. Used throughout the history of thus planet to crown poets, artists, champions and conquerors, it not only represents the physical victory but the series of inner victories achieved by the individual, and the clarification and purification of his buner aims and purposes which lead to the outward victory. It is associated with the head, the traditional abode of the spirit. The star is a symbol of the spirit. The five pointed star most commonly signifies rising up towards the point of origin; thus, it is a potent symbol of alignment to source. The laurel wreath and star, in combination, signify the victory of the spirit which is rising upward towards the point of origin or source. Its proper color is always gold. And note that the star is not trapped in its victory, but is In the open field towards the top of the wreath, allowing free exit, beyond its victory, and that is, in fact, in a field of blue, symbolizing truth. Sea Org recruitment by WISE
Official WISE magazine Prosperity carries Sea Org advertisement
WISE uses the symbol also in its recruitment advertisements for the Sea Org.
The following is taken from Prosperity 49, published by World Institute of Scientology Enterprises (WISE) International, March 2000, page 29, This is an excerpt from a full page advertisement for the Sea Org. What this shows is that not only are WISE licensed consultants urged to recruit for Scientology in exchange for money, but WISE itself is recruiting directly into the most abusive Scientology environment on earth, and as internal Scientology documents revealed, rife with child neglect.

Incidently, the Sea Organization advertisement by WISE urges to contact WISE offices when interested to "Put Scientology here securely for eternity." As a simple investigation revealed, eight of the thirteen WISE offices are located within Church of Scientology's Continental Liaison Offices.
Another instance I am aware of is the fullpage advertisment for the Sea Org, on the back of WISE directory 1999:

You can see a larger scall image here or on the English translated page. "Cleared planet" refers to Scientology's aim of converting the world to their belief system. Clearing it of its "reactive mind".
In closing..
In closing, despite protestations by Heber C. Jentzsch, the President of the Church of Scientology International, that WISE is " an autonomous corporation separate and apart from churches of Scientology" it is undeniable that both WISE and "churches of Scientology" are managed by the same Sea Org entity and operate according to the same Scientology beliefs. And in fact, WISE's efforts in getting Hubbard's material introduced in the secular business world, via its affiliates like Sterling Management Systems, Hollander Consultants, David Singer Enterprises, U-Man and many others, who are preaching & teaching to unsuspecting managers, dentists, veterinarians and their assistans, those efforts, those efforts could be called Faith based Consulting.
