Informal summary by Rob Clark The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has vacated the Texas rulings against Dell Liebreich individually and as Personal Representative of the Estate of Lisa McPherson, and against Thomas J. Dandar and Kennan G. Dandar The three rulings are essentially identical, the different citations referring to three separate appeals of the various rulings consolidated for purposes of appeal. The only avenues for appeal by the cult are to request an en banc hearing of the Fifth Circuit, which is unlikely to meet with success and an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States, which is unlikely to reverse on what is a fairly obvious issue of law, that being that the Texas court had no jurisdiction over this case in the first place. This case was one of the major looming perils facing the Estate, including as it did a jury verdict of $258,697.10, an outlandish finding for $327,654 costs and fees, and to add insult to injury, an additional $98,296 in sanctions against the Dandars for filing the very arguments that prevailed before the Fifth Circuit.
