Scientologist's estate still unresolved

CLEARWATER, After a second day of testimony Friday, a Probate Court
hearing to decide the fate of the Lisa McPherson estate adjourned with
no resolution.

McPherson, a Scientologist, died in 1995 while in the care of Church of
Scientology staffers. Her family in Texas set up her estate in 1997 in
Pinellas County and filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Scientology.
Nearly three years later, the church says the estate was set up
fraudulently. Lawyers for the church and family are expected to set a
date to resume the hearing after Jan. 1.
