The Legislative Assembly yesterday took more than an hour to decide that it had power to debate the Scientology Act Repeal Bill. It rejected by 20 votes to 19 a move by the Leader of the opposition, Sir Charles Court, to disagree with a ruling by the Speaker, Mr Norton.
